Jewish museum and Tolerance center with the support of SAFMNAR foundation presents the ninth «Tutoring reading»


Moscow. December 4, at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance center will host the ninth "Tutirng reading" - a socio-cultural charity project, implemented by the Jewish Museum and Tolerance center with the support of the Foundation SAFMAR. Under the "Extracurricular reading" is a series of literary evenings, where the best Russian actors read the stories and novels of Russian classics. The lectures will continue the story of Alexander Pushkin "The Queen of spades" performed by people's artist Irina Kupchenko. This work has already become classic, and remember one of the first, when it comes to Russian classics. The parable of the crushing strength of the game and dangerous power of the underworld, do not let go of a man from his captivity, not just still relevant, but it reflects the fatal movement of destiny, which is becoming more and is fatal with each passing century. Connoisseurs of Russian literature have been able to attend the evening dedicated to the works of Anton Chekhov, Nikolai Gogol, Fedor Dostoevsky, Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin to other great writers performed by Darya Moroz, Ksenia Kutepova, Mikhail Efremov, Valery Garkalin and other famous artists. Through special events dedicated to the centenary of the death of writer Sholem Aleichem, the people's artist of Russia Igor Yasulovich read at the eighth "extra-curricular readings" Chapter of the most famous books of Sholom Aleichem "Tevye the milkman".  The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center was opened in 2012 in the building of the Bakhmetevsky Bus Garage, the monument of Constructivism designed by Konstantin Melnikov and Vladimir Shukhov. Almost in a century the architectural masterpiece of the Russian Avant-Garde became the venue for the most high-technology museum of Russia. Meeting the requirements of the modern culture and society, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center represents a cultural and educational complex with its permanent exposition; here the exhibition research, educational, children`s and Tolerance centers function as well. The permanent exposition presents the history of Russia through the examples of the culture and everyday life of the Jewish people. Major exhibition projects of the international level also extends in the Museum.
